TEHRAN (APETDC) -- In a significant stride towards fostering collaborative synergies within the petrochemical industry, Ozkymiosanoat, a prominent stalwart in the sector, recently convened a high-level delegation on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

This delegation engaged in a highly constructive rendezvous with executives from Arman Pasargad Energy Technologies Development Company (APETDC). Orchestrated under the auspices of Mr. Ramezanpour, Deputy of Downstream Oil & Gas at Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC), the meeting commenced with warm pleasantries and effusive greetings, setting an affirmative tone for the subsequent deliberations.

Amidst this atmosphere of camaraderie, Mr. Haerinejad, the astute CEO of APETDC, extended a gracious welcome to the Ozkymiosanoat delegation, amplifying the significance of deepening their collaborative alliance. Both parties resonated in their dedication to realizing their shared goals through this strategic partnership.

A pivotal juncture of the meeting, which was held at APETDC headquarters here in Tehran, the Iranian capital, spotlighted the presentation of APETDC's meticulously crafted technical proposal for a Methanol-to-Olefins (MTO) plant. Delivered by the erudite Mr. Mirzakhani, the proposal delineated a comprehensive blueprint commencing with the utilization of natural gas to synthesize methanol. Subsequently, the MTO process was harnessed to yield a plethora of essential products, including ethylene, LPG, gasoline, and propylene. Notably, the proposal extended its ambit to the production of MEG (Monoethylene glycol), PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), and PP (Polypropylene), thereby catering comprehensively to a spectrum of market exigencies.

Within the confines of meticulous brainstorming, the merits of the proposed process schemes were probed, and prospective technical hurdles were surmounted through constructive discourse. Pertinently, the distinctive characteristics of the Uzbekistan market were thoughtfully integrated into these considerations.

Conspicuously, the proposal delved into the synthesis of aromatic products, stemming from natural gas, substantiating the concept with meticulously rendered process schemes and intricately detailed flow diagrams.

Mr. Mirzakhani, demonstrating his prowess, unveiled an optimization blueprint and design proposal aimed at finetuning the process scheme, characterized by a meticulous focus on augmenting product outputs aligned seamlessly with Ozkymiosanoat's overarching marketing strategies.

In a bid to bolster the project's robustness, Ozkymiosanoat committed wholeheartedly to provide APETDC with comprehensive market studies. These studies are poised to serve as the crucible for the precision-tailoring of processes and designs, aligning them adeptly with the bespoke market demands of Ozkymiosanoat.

The symposium advanced with a presentation by Mr. Yousefi, unveiling Pasargad Energy Mehr Management Co. (PEMC) as the Project Management subsidiary of MED. Conceived explicitly for the management and stewardship of large-scale projects operating under the GC and MC contract models, PEMC's capabilities and readiness to enrich the partnership's endeavors were lauded and showcased to the Ozkymiosanoat delegation.

The pivotal facets of cooperative engagement assumed center stage as Mr. Farzadfar, a distinguished Member of the Board of Directors of APETDC, beckoned Ozkymiosanoat to elucidate its business models underpinning the MTO plant project. APETDC, in a quest for profound insights, sought revelations pertaining to the establishment of joint ventures, intricate financial frameworks, allocation of labor, precise execution plans, and the overarching scheme of enterprise.

In response, Ozkymiosanoat unveiled its strategic intent to engage with multiple investor entities, aggregating them into a joint venture or consortium exclusively committed to the development and production of the MTO plant. Ozkymiosanoat's meticulous evaluation of each investor's proposal, including APETDC's contribution, and the subsequent dissemination of results were underscored. The fiscal return on this investment endeavor was envisioned through the sale of MTO plant products, complemented by lucid articulations of land usage agreements with the Uzbekistan government.

Catalyst production emerged as the zenith priority for this collaborative odyssey, with subsequent development of the MTO plant in Uzbekistan assuming a prominent position on the horizon. Ozkymiosanoat, in no uncertain terms, highlighted the imperative of instigating joint collaboration towards a dedicated research and development center. This pursuit, lauded for its inherent capacity to elevate prowess in the realms of petrochemical and MTO plant development and operation, was cogently emphasized.

APETDC, in turn, offered unwavering assurance that its meticulously crafted roadmap for Catalyst production, in consultation with Ozkymiosanoat, was poised for imminent submission. This roadmap navigates the labyrinthine terrain of Catalyst type selection, rigorous assessments of technology availability, voluminous production projections, and meticulous market sizing exercises for the selected Catalysts.

With regard to the collaborative R&D center in Uzbekistan, Mr. Aziz lent profound insights into its ongoing construction, punctuated by invaluable support from Korean conglomerates and active participation from academia. Ozkymiosanoat, upholding its commitment to this symbiotic partnership, pledged to furnish MED with its coveted blueprints for business development scenarios and meticulously articulated R&D objectives by the denouement of September 2023, thereby infusing renewed vitality into the partnership's research and innovation endeavors.

The strategic confluence of Ozkymiosanoat and APETDC eloquently underscores a mutual dedication to innovation, harmonious development, and market-oriented ascension, portending a radiant horizon for the petrochemical industry in Uzbekistan and beyond. With both entities poised for a symphonic refinement of their plans and proposals, the potential for groundbreaking achievements in the realm of petrochemicals beckons with tantalizing proximity.
